I had half a vstrom in my garage for a few years but gave it all away a couple of months ago. ::010::

I just need something to read speed, nothing else. Unless I can figure out how to 'adapt' the stock wheel drive to work some how....

After looking at your pics i had the same half you have

without replacement parts, it's just that half a vstrom.
before I took it on, I made damn sure I had the parts to replace it, otherwise, i would have simply punted it on ebay.

I had a choice of a dl1000 front end, or a rm450 front end (21 inch). Since i'm mostly realistic, most of the time, I went with the dl 1000 front end.

We had a Wee Strom that looked a lot like that one. Actually ours was a fair amount worse. Unfortunately before it looked like yours my wife was riding it on a downhill, decreasing radius curve....that was wet. That was the last day we ever saw that bike.

Good luck with the project. They are good bikes.

I'm glad she walked from that unharmed. Like I said bikes are replaceble
