Well I couldnt get the deal I wanted last winter but I have managed to do the deal for a 2013 spec Blue S10, delivered last Friday & I have done about 350+ miles so far. I think it might be some time before I part with money for a Triumph again. Thanks to the guys who replied to my requests for info last year.
;D ;D ;D ;D

Im absolutely chuffed to bits with my new bike & the dealership even delivered the bike free of charge (about 45/50 miles) unlike the Triumph dealer where i got my Explorer from, he wanted £90/95 even after admitting he was coming past my house the same day! ::002::

Hello from London, Ontario, Canada, and congratulations on your purchase! I think you will really enjoy the Super Tenere. I too came to Yamaha from another ADV bike, in my case, a Moto Guzzi Stelvio. The confidence I feel in this bike is a night-and-day contrast to the anxiety I felt while owning the Stelvio. I am confident the Yamaha will start every time I push the button, and am equally confident it will get me where I hope to go without breakdowns or other drama. It is, in every respect, a fine motorcycle.

Cheers,

Bruce

Greetings from Texas! Glad you got the fast color. ;D
You might have the fast color, but I got the stealth color. That way I can go as fast as I want and no one sees me. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your wonderful bike OP.

Welcome from the resident TEX owner. I will tell you that the TEX isn't getting ridden much since I got my S10. You're going to love the S10, it's great. Congrats

Cheers for the welcome guys, some of your comments are spot on, whenever I fired the Tex up in the end I was starting to think whats going to go wrong next, Triumph Hincklet saw the light in the end & we did a deal on a Tiger Sport, unfortunately I had to collect the new bike from the same dealership the Tex came from & yes they F**ked up again by not checking there was oil in the engine, or bother to do a PDI. The difference with my new Yamaha dealer is like night & day

I know have the confidence that when I hit the starter it A) will fire up, B) no dodgy instruments to show the fuel tank empty in the blink of an eye C) No strange noises from the engine D) It wont need a new head in 2 months time E) It actually came with oil in the engine on delivery F) It didnt need an engine rebuild at the factory with 60 miles on the clock.

Am I happy I swopped?........ You bet

Thanks again for the welcome & for the UK guys, midlands of further afield how about a S10 meet somewhere in the peaks? Castleton ?

enjoy guys im going to ::003::

Oh, this engine makes some strange noises if you listen to it...the good news - they are all absolutely normal. ;)

Enjoy the new ride!

I'd been wondering about that engine noise but I've been having too much fun on the bike to worry about it. Seems to be getting much better as the miles add up. That would be the exact opposite from an Explorer

Notice theres an event section so mighf be worth starting someting there for a poss meet. I'd be up for it n probs my mate too whose got an S10 or date day/date depending. Ya never know could eventually snowball n become a UK meet! Mind they'll only be 7 of us! :D
