I'm thinking it's a just OK deal. You can find a brand new bike for under $13k (I know where you can get them for $12795) - you might have to travel so take that into account - then the SW-Motechs are let's say $1000 (I think they are actually a bit less), and the crash bars say $200. I would discount the OEM skid plate because it's really only a stone guard and you'd probably want to replace it with something better.

So, that's what - $14,200 before taxes and travel expenses if you had to travel. It might be worth $700-800 to you to stay local, but that's your call. But you should look around, maybe you'll find a local dealer that will give you a good deal and you'll have a brand new bike with money left over for whatever farkles you choose.

Good luck!

That sounds like a fantastic deal to me! Offer them 14.5 out the door and see what they come back with.

not such a smoking deal. I paid 13100 = 14038 after taxes with less than a mile on the clock. 4 dealers within 40 miles would match it

I've got mine for sale for 13.5 ( negotiable )( 1,500 miles ) and it's just the standard bike with no options. I think that would be a pretty good deal if that is the OTD price.

I got my bike for $14,500 out the door which taking everything out makes the bike alone $12,800. Its a good deal, but maybe try for a new one and see what you can do. then you can add your own stuff. IF you like what it has then get it and enjoy it. The bike is amazing and for a pick it up and ride on a trip right away, that looks like a great choice. :)

+- a few bucks. So what?

What really matters is if you WANT it. Does it keep you awake at night just imagening it being yours?

It doesn't even have 1 days worth of miles on it! It's brand new! And it COMES already rigged with some really nice kit!

Put another way, the bike is worth every damn cent of that asking price.

I've had $14K of FUN and adventure on mine already!

My first thought was to Set it on fire and let it burn. But I guess you will just have to get it fixed. Polish the old girl up and put her up for sale.
