Well, you probably know the routine.....average Sunday morning with the wife. Drinking coffee and wondering what to make of the day. Typically, I say let's hit the road and see what happens...sometimes it's good and sometimes...well, less than good. Today was a goldmine!

Started out on River Rd, with the intentions of a good, long walk. Drove and drove, looking for a place to pull over for one of those "talk and walks." You know what I mean. Pulled off on a road that looked good and it turned into a memorable day. We ended up in a horse stable, with students learning to ride. Petted many horses, while walking the grounds, wading puddles in the warm winter air. Every horse just seemed to want to cross the fence to greet us and it was such an amazing contrast to the city.

Now, my wife might want to take riding lessons! If she stays interested between now an April it will be her birthday gift. It was a good day and I hand fed carrots to a Zebra! Today was a good day.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your day Ollie. It's always a bonus when a real good one turns up. Where on earth did you find a Zebra?

If I had to guess, I would say that Ollie found a zebra at Henrys Ark just outside Louisville in Prospect, Ky

Ha, it would make for one helluva bar and I probably sounded like I had a few! Justbob wins the prize on location. Right place, right mind, right time-just one of those days.

...and I visited my 94 year old mother in Hollywood with my kids; Ages 18 and 20. We then met up with some of their friends at In N Out on Sunset...I insisted on taking everyone for a stroll down Hollywood Blvd...saw all the stars as we walked down H'Wood Blvd...and went into a costume store housing the last of the great magic stores in H'Wood...guy did an impromptu magic show for all four kids...(blew my sons mind!)...and ended up back at In N Out for burgers, fries and milkshakes....all four kids agreed, it was a great day.

No zebras....however, did the stars align for a great weekend?

Anyone else have a great day?

I spent Sunday afternoon moving a milling machine and reassembling it. Also helped a couple of students with the projects they were working. We are building an electric MC to compete in the TTxGP this year. Probably sounds like work, but I really had a good time.

I have a good friend whose wife has a horse. I don't even want to say what they pay to board the darn thing. Ollie, be careful of your path!

Never even occurred to me that she might actually want to buy one. Oh crap what have I done? :'( Maybe she'll forget the whole thing.

No horse for mine, just horsepower. I go to the cottage Friday night, push the boat out of the boathouse, after that she's on her own. She brings 10 gallons of fuel to feed the 190 horses and that keeps her going Fri - Sat - Sun. And I'm off for points unknown.
