“Upgrades include one-click remote controlled deployment and packing, anti-microbial UV interior lighting and a Dyneema®/Kevlar® predator barrier (patent pending).”

Some people didn't get the note that this year was not a great one for April Fools jokes.

You know something? You were right. I got a small smile when I got the GL email for the tent yesterday. But I had no desire to make jokes considering all that is going on.

The reason I would have believed it is, Chris is right about the roof top tents becoming the "in thing". Jeep catalogs have had them for a couple years now. The reason I would not have believed it is, no way to stow it on a bike. The Jeep model just folds up, but it still has a non-foldable floor/base. Fake or not, it still would be cool, and it is a harmless joke. I was kinda expecting people to be insensitive, and make jokes about the current situation. Thankfully, I didn't see any of those.

I have seen something very similar that was real. It was a tiny trailer you pull behind your bike that folded out with a solid floor and a tent top very much like that. They were very nice but i think i will just stick with my tiny regular tent.

If I had a rig like that, I wouldn't even take it down. I'd just take my rides and leave the tent up all the time. You never know when you might need to stop and take a nap. You can sit in the seat and look through that little port hole. No need for anymore rain suits; you're covered!

Check this out, there are a couple of companies making these.
Not true. That hit the various sites at least 4 years ago and still isn't available today. Their web site dated 2020 still lists it as " Currently, the Mobed is not available. If you are interested please contact info@mobed.eu."

How would you even climb in? I rather suspect it's simply an older April Fools joke. The alternative is that it's just a Bad Idea™ that couldn't get funding from anyone.
