... has any anyone done this mod? Any advice will be welcome.
I had that mod done on my old CapoNord 03. It made a massive difference then as that bike was a "diver"!
As a reference, I am 243 Lb (110Kg) naked. Rarely ride 2up as my wife prefers to ride the Kawa Concours 14... worse, basically she refuses to sit on the SuperT perch!!

care to elaborate on this?

The front springs are progressive not linear on the ST. Changing them to a linear spring suited for your weight will improve things.
Can't comment on the rear shock, as mine started leaking at 22km, and I replaced it with an excellent yacugar shock (full adj.)

It's still a stiff bastard.

I changed the rear spring to the Hyperpro for an entirely different reason. My wife does ride pillion on occasion. With her and luggage I was riding really low in the back. The Hyperpro rear spring changed that. I'm now quite happy with the ride with just me alone, me and her, me and luggage, me and her and luggage. I do have to change the preload on the rear spring and rebound damping for each situation. I keep a cheat sheet so I know where to adjust them.

My ST is not a diver unless I have to hit the brakes really hard (emergency stop hard). I have tuned the stock front compression damping, rebound damping, and preload to suit my driving style on the roads I run most frequently. I was somewhat surprised that I don't have to change the front for any of the 4 use cases above. Then again I don't use a tank bag. So the weight variation is mostly on the rear wheel.
