Might help if you remove and grease the bolt that goes through the clutch lever.
Mine was creaking. It was not the pivot bolt. There is a brass bush that pivots in the handle and pushes the master cylinder plunger. It was caked and dry. I removed it, cleaned and polished, and relubed it. Much smoother and quiet.

I actually shortened my handle and typically use just two fingers.

How many miles on the bike? My new to me S10 had 24K on the clock and when I bled and changed the clutch fluid it , the clutch pull, lightened significantly. Maybe by 25%. The fluid was pretty dark so IF you take off the cap and see dark hydro fluid i would definately change the fluid. Yes the reservoir is very small and if you use a bleed tool, like I did, you need to go slow our have another set of eyes/hands.Make sure you hold the bars with straps to keep them from moving as it would be very easy to spill paint marring brake fluid. Speed bleeders are nice but not necessary and you can use the vacuum tool for all your vehicles!

I just bought a 2013 st with 2k miles and I initially thought it must have had a cable clutch when I first took the test ride because of how heavy the pull was. Very much like a Harley clutch feel. Kawasaki has really got the clutch pull dialed with their slip/assist clutches and I was spoiled. I'll work up the strength to not notice it soon.

Try changing the fluid. Even though its only got 2K miles on it the fluid can attract moisture over time especially IF you live in an area that has much humidity. ALL manufacturer's recommend change fluids in a mileage or time schedule. You should also change the brake fluid and coolant too. I have seen numerous reports of better clutch feel after a fluid change.Mine did for sure! Its not gonna make the S10 a KTM in clutch pull but I think you will notice the change. Its so easy to do and costs very little.

Yeah the dealer I bought it from is doing all of that before I pick it up this weekend so I'll know if it made a difference.

I dont trust "Stealers"!!! They are notorious for "saying" they did something. Id ask them to discount the price of the service off the sale of the bike and do it yourself. That way you KNOW its been done. Thats just they way I roll!

I totally get it, I do all of my own work on my bikes and I'm very meticulous but this was part of the deal I made with the bike. They were not judging on the price and part of my reading was that I was going to have to do the brake and clutch fluid so they agreed to do it. Once I get it home I'll surely put the oil and fluids in it that I want.
