Made it through unscathed and with no house damage. A Papaya tree was uprooted and a few palm tree look pretty sad. The stress before and during the storm was the real killer.

FM, glad to hear no damage to persons or property. You were really in the thick of it, AFAICT.

We had power for a few hours yesterday. Lots of work, inconvenience, and discomfort, but no suffering.

Steve and FM glad to hear you made it through unscathed same as I did here in Houston. We better warn Shredmeister as apparantly the KindaRally is haunting us and he's next. Lol

So, every year I have to ask, when is hurricane season over?

Some years are more taxing than others. This one needs to calm down a bit now.

Officially, some time in November. Unofficially, after the last storm dissipates...

Hi all ..got my power back Saturday , a week after the storm and thank you GENERATOR :) that i have piped into my main power feed . I was able to run a window shaker the Fridge and lights . I'll tell you Florida power & light is cheep a month when you have to keep gassing up that Gen. A lot of tree damage and work but every one is safe!! I saw a question asking why we don't leave ? Born here in 55 and never left yet, A friend left for this one and it took him 11 hours to get to Orlando which is 4.5 hr drive,it chased him to the west coast and then to S.C . Its was hard enough to get gas here let alone messing with thousands to get back. We named him ( Run Forest Run )!!! We were lucky but the keys got hit hard, Iam going to ride down there in 4 or 5 weeks . They need time ... Lets see what these other Hurricanes do out there ? I think they will all turn . I hope ... Way to much work to get per-paired.... BE SAFE ALL

Yep, I was down in Curacao and had three return flights on American Airlines canceled because Miami is the only route they offer for that destination. Finally got back a week later. It was dreadful :)

Hope everyone weathered the storm ok.

If you want to see you cut off the State now is, this is Flightaware. Because of the South American connections Miami is normally a major hub like Atlanta.
