So I bought a used hugger, which I think is from Pyramid. Couple of questions, Pyramid install instructions say a nord lock washer is required on the bevel box bolt, but there was t one in the bag of bolts that came with it. Requirement?

My other question is what are the torque values for the bevel box bolt and the brace thing on the other side of the wheel?

It is a cover over your rear tire to keep mud off your shocks and you. I have one mounted on my daughters 12 and mounted one on my new one. I like it and I am sure some would not. I never read the info that came with it . I just tightened them down firm and Have never had a problem in 35,000 miles on my old 2012 or 10,000 mi on my new one. Heavy mud may clog it, Just remove it. It does help keeping mud and water out of areas that don't need it.

Was one of the first mods I did to my 2012 and it only lasted a few months before it was ripped off from all the mud. Personally I think it's a waste of money.

Had one on my 2012 to prevent a wet right side thigh. I don't ride much off-road so it was on it when sold.

I suggest not to use the hugger.
I installed the Pyramid in my bike. It traps mud and stones. The accumulated mud went to the side and ended damaging the paint of the shaft.
Beside the esthetic, it creates more problems than benefits.

Not a fan of a hugger on The Biggest Dirt Bike In The World either.

But.........

Martin, that mud you speak of is a special "Chili Mud". Now famous around here. :)

Not likely many of us will ever subject our Tenere to that road-of-Peanut-Butter Torture.

I have a hugger on my 2014ES. It does a very good job keeping all the road crap off my bike. If you used a full knobby tire and went in the mud you might be in a difficult situation. I don't offroad any more at my age.
