Welcome from Corpus Christi. Used to live in Galveston, and still get up there pretty regular.

One of these days we're all gonna' have to get together for a "Texas Tenere" ride. There's a bunch of 'em here! ::008::

Welcome from webster/Clearlake. We also have snakebitten who you met, Combo, and oilfield trash. Further north we have merchant, Tabasco, and tall gears. There are a few more of us but can't remember everybody. Get that bike off the trailer, she belongs on the road :)

Ya' know...

I'm not sure, and I could be wrong, but I think there are more Texas Tenere owners here on this board that from any other state. ::008::

Anybody ever done a count?

Was already thinking of this, but the soonest I could do it would be the weekend before thanksgiving.

That would be great!

How about a central location that always has terrific riding - like the Texas Hill Country?

It can be chilly enough in the winter there, and plenty hot in the summer - so how about either Fall or Spring?

That would give the best chances of good weather and good riding both.

The area in and around Kerrville has good infrastructure for both hotels and camping, so that might be a good base spot.

Other ideas? Suggestions?

This could turn into something fantastic! ::012::

I'm up for that. East Texas is great in the fall too and there are lots of forest roads.
