Had an older fridge my inlaws gave us just sitting in the basement begging to be used in a more useful manner. Used it only for the freezer space and cases of soda in the fridge, until now...

I started off by looking up the manual online and found the freon line routing, then made sure the drill was charged. ::008:: I've got my CO2 canister remotely hooked up behind the fridge on a shelf, just so I could fit two kegs at once. At the moment, there's a 5 gallon (1/4 bbl) of Amber Bock and a 8 gallon (1/2 bbl) of Shiner Bock for you Texas folks. Though from what I've heard, Shiner in Texas is a small step up from Miller Light :D To each their own, though.

Today I finally got my temp and CO2 pressures dialed in, so I'm enjoying a cold frosty while it's cold and frosty outside! ::003::

Door's always open...we might have to ride for an hour or two to earn it, though. ::008::

Geez Karson, I thought I was King S#!t until I saw your set up - a double tap! Nice! My wife would say that I do quite enough damage with the one. Can't wait for Easter weekend. I have 5 gallons of Tripel Karmeleit fermenting in the closet. Gonna be a good one.

Now you need to work on getting some stickers on that fridge.

That's a sweet tap handle. Does your drain have a nipple on it? If I had to do it over again I would have saved the dinero and gotten one without. Only helps if I accidentally hit the tap handle, otherwise it gets disgusting just as quick as the rest of 'em

My brother found that tap handle in an antique shop and gave it to me for Christmas a couple years ago. He lives is Wisconsin, so lots of beer history there. That tray is the simplest/cheapest stainless one I could find (no nipple). I lift it off the fridge and clean it in the sink.

Im from Sioux City and I thought this topic was about drinking and making baby's ::012::
Seemed to be one of the two in everything I read about Iowa.

I moved to Texas and it was 87 two days ago and now only mid 60s.

I have to wear the heavy jacket to work in the mornings on the bike .

We used to do that when I was stationed at Fort Devens, MA.

Although fl oz, kegerators are cheaper than cans/bottles. By the time you invest in stainless steel co2 manifolds, faucets, etc...it will take a loooong time to get a return on your investment. Other than the "cool" factor and if you cornie keg your own homebrew, bottles & cans are just as good. Just a PITA to always have to return cans and deal with the folks that live under the bridges collecting cans for a living...if you know what i mean :D

It's not easy dealing with Super T winter withdrawals...
...but at least you are doing your best.

PS: JJ can't confirm, deny, or condone such behavior ::003::
