58 here. This is my first Super T. From the responses, looks like it appeals to an older(more mature) crowd :).

Riding since 10. Raced enduro and HS early '80s. Got to AMA and ECEA A classes then quit racing after an injury. Decided Dual Sport was more fun. It's nice to be able to do a little dirt with the Super T when the mood strikes.

Fifty this year. Been riding since I was 20 and have had a lots of bikes over the years, including a few Yamahas. My previous favorite Yamaha was my TDM850, now it's my Super T.

I turn 58 this September, I will also be retiring then. It is going to be a great year for riding next year without work getting in the way. ::008::
Retire?? at 58. That was early ::008::, will you get pension at 58?, or have you did some "money savings", at your own?
In Denmark, when born between 1963-1966, you dont get pension before 68. Unless you have did some savings called "early retirement", then you can retire at 65.
The goverment keeps setting the retire age up, because wil will be needing "working people" in a few years...

UPS.....off topic ;) sorry

Both, I have banked away a fair bit in the last 30 years hoping I could retire early. The company has a pretty good pension plan as well. I won't get anything from the government until a time I choose between 60 and 65. Personally I would have like to work another year or two but I am facing more and more issues with my arthritis and spinal problems.

71 on my 2nd Tenere. Had a 2012 sold it with 80,800 miles now have 53,000 something on my 214ES. Two heart attacks and other assorted “issues” and still riding!

62 in July. Social Security starts in August. I'm going into my 5th year of retirement, best job anyone could ever have. I started riding at age 8 on Honda mini-trails and have owned over 100 motorcycles, and hope to own a few more. As a kid we lived on the edge of town and there were miles of trails right across the street...good times.

I'll be 55 next month; retired at 53 after 25 years, with a check from the state 'till I pass. ::001::
That only works if you stick it out with one job (25 year service) mostly government type, but with so many people now 'chopping and changing' there only a minority that get to do that, also, within EU, the governments are all increasing pension age. Soon the phrase, 'Cradle to Grave' will really mean that!

I retired last year but was coerced back with a lucrative consulting offer. So I am collecting a pension (24.5 years service) and making a consulting fee. Pension alone isn't enough to live off of, even with SS, which I'm putting off until at least 66 (full retirement age for me). Still it was a better deal to accept the early retirement offer that came around last year than to wait for my 25th anniversary, which would have been this month on the 23rd. I put in 14 years at a previous company that is also paying me a pension, albeit much smaller than my more recent company. Once I get some major house projects finished I'll probably quit the consulting too.

54yrs...riding street since 16 and off road all my life. I snowmobile and ATV too.

Been thru a ton of sport bikes, naked bikes, 3 different ZRX Kawis and a VeeStrom.....besides a myriad of off road bikes.

Was looking for an ADV bike to ride back rds, gravel rds, commute and generally fook around with.
I always ride solo and travel light when I overnight.
Wanted a bike with great adj suspension, exc ergos that accommodated stand up riding.
Wanted Japanese build quality and reliability.

The Super T checked most boxes and I am a Yamaha fan for their quality/reliability. Liked the parallel twin for the ground clearance.

Searched out a clean low mile used 2012 and found one at a great price.
I had been itchin for one since they came out in 2012 so knew what I wanted.
I immediately had the ECU reflashed by Anthony here on the forum to get the beast fueling right and de nanify it....swapped the bars for Raptors. Going to respring the froks with .85 sonics and fresh oil/seals and some fresh rubber.
Otherwise hopin to enjoy it more/less as is.
Will change out the clutch basket IF it bugs me and the CCT asap.

I'm 44 and have been riding my S10 for little over 2 years now.

I've had a soft spot for the Ténérés since I was a kid. The S10 is the third one I own.
In 1995 I picked up a brand new 750. A year later I replaced it with a 600.

After 2 years/64.000 km I enjoy my S10 more than ever, and I plan on keeping it a while longer.
Most likely the S10 won't be my last Ténéré - I find the 700 prototype very promissing. It will be interesting to see how the production model turns out...

62 Been riding since I was a kid on a minibike. Broke the frame jumping it. Jump to a big 69 minitrail 70 then. At 15 I got a 72 Yamaha ct2 175 next $700 cash {Broke the frame on it too}. I went to the streets then at 16 with rd350's and a hopped up 84 rz350. Most fun bike I ever had. Went back to hairscrambles in 96 on a 96 cr500 at 40 yrs old. Rode hair scramble till I was 57 and my knees needed replacing. No dirt bikes any more after that. Got a xtz in 13. Love it. I'll be keeping it a long time.
