how much for the 2014 ES

Found a 2014 ES in Australia the other day and was Gobsmacked ??? at the $24,000au price tag! that puts it right next to the 1190R and the base model 1200 GSA I think Yamaha might have made a big mistake with its Australian pricing, it use to be the best value for money Adventure bike on the market here, but now I don't think so.
What price are they selling for in other country's compared to the competition.

Msrp 16,190 in the U.S. but there is definitely room for negotiating.

Paid 22700 on road, dont be fooled by 1190 & gs price, ie cruise e suspension etc etc.

My local dealer quoted me $13,500 for the standard, but that does not include shipping and other stuff.

Using the current exchange rate of $1Aus to $0.9396usd $24,000 AUS = 22,550.03 USD am I missing something here? that is nowhere near $14,750USD
