I have a 2012 White /Red Worldcrosser and was wondering how many others are on the forum, apparently in 2012 the Worldcrosser was supplied to Yamaha dealers in White/Red or Black/Yellow,has anyone seen a Black/Yellow as I've never seen one.

I bought a new white Worldcosser in 2103. Unfortunately I was knocked off it in 2014 by na 85 year old turning right from a side junction who 'didn't see me'

Although the damage was only cosmetic the bike never felt the same so I used my compensation to buy a 2015 2nd gen with electronic sussies.

So now I have a XT1200ZE a Worldcrosser.

Is this unique?

Hi. Forgive my ignorance but What defines a World Crosser version? Is it a Yamaha built model or one you can add a sticker set and specific WC accessories to?

If you look up Yamaha UK website there you will see info. Essentially they came with 'factory' fitted, guards on the rear brake caliper, final drive, heel plates, engine guard, sump guard with extensions, carbon side panels, spots and lower fork guards, everything else was 'rider' add-on.

Thanks Dogdaze for the explanation. So a genuine Worldcrosser version is factory built order but you can buy an upgrade kit to convert a standard bike to make it a World Crosser?

Yes, as far as rider upgrade are concerned, as for factory built to order, not so sure about that process, more than likely done at a local level, dealer fit.

All the "extras" are dealer fit. They are priced individually, so you can mix & match parts as you like. Some of them are pretty good, others are better served by after-market. Ordered all my parts from the dealer with the bike, got a good discount and free fitting. :)

I was under the impression that in 2012 Yamaha supplied "Worldcrossers" from the factory in White/Red and Black/Yellow to Yamaha main dealers, not sure about bikes after that,i know when i put my reg number into insurance compariaon websites my bike comes up automatically as an XT1200 Wordcrosser and i was told dealer modified bikes will just come up as XT1200.Very confusing, the original owner of mine who ordered the bike from new was under the impression that it would come with the Akropovic and spotlights as standard but apparently they were optional extras and he had to buy them seperately, the off road tyres also seen in the original ads were optional.
