I don't know if I'm one of the few or not. I had a nicely outfitted, big understatement, '92 TDM850 for quite a while and really enjoyed the bike immensely. It was always the one bike that I should have never gotten rid of, until I got my Super Tenere ::022::

oh, that would be me then, still have my TDM900, truly brilliant bike, why they didn't import them into the states totally eludes me.

I used to have a 2000 model TDM850 in black & silver. I only had it 4 months as I found everything in exactly the wrong place. A decent enough bike but it just didn't fit me.

Yeh part chopped my beloved TDM 9er for the big 10 a few months back. Twas a truly underrated machine. The new Tracers got a lot to live up to in my books...

Had two TDM900s before the S10' only bike I've ever repeated! They came after a vfr800 and were a revelation! In any ways the S10 is a "grown up " version of the TDM, unfortunately also shares it's misunderstood status (although part of me feels sort of smug about that as well As!)

My Mrs bought a TDM900 earlier this year, seemed ideal for her with good power that is easily accessible and a comfy riding position, apart from the awful suspension she loved it.

Had forks re-sprung and shock re-valved and it is now a really great motorcycle, the difference on bumps is unbelievable, and the forks dive far less and feel much better controlled.

Only remaining downside is poor running at low speed, more a result of getting through EU emissions laws, if she decides she will keep it long term I will probably get a power commander for it, but as it does not get ridden around town it is not a huge issue.

I will probably buy it off her for my commuter bike if she does want to get something else.
