How about events?

How about a section for gatherings and events? When I was active with Triumph Tigers, we would schedule a "ride-in". A small group of us would recon a site (camp grounds for the most part in State parks) scope out some ride routes, and post a date. It was low key....you come in you want and do what you want. Ended up being a great time each time we did it and grew to be an annual event. I'm thinking about seeing if we can get something like that scheduled for late summer/early fall in northern Pennsylvania.... We ended up having a about 4 regional events a year. A gps coordinate exchange may be useful as well (dealer locations, Camp grounds, Points of interest). I would be happy to start putting together a list. I like being able to find parts or services if I'm on the road.

Sounds like a noble gesture. Trouble is you can't set something up just yet until people actually have their machines .... on the contrary I've already set up a session to ride with a bunch of GS Adventure riders. ;D ;D I'll show 'em just what a well sorted bike can do 8)

I was just thinking about laying the groundwork in advance of the deliveries. No worries! I've started a spread sheet for dealers so I can load them into my Garmin. I figure I have some time to get them in there... ;D

If what you're looking for is a spreadsheet equivalent on the site I have that available. Check out the Modifications database ("Database" from the top menu), it is an example of what we can do as far as list building goes.

I can create new categories for anything we want to store. Each category can have a custom set of defined fields. I can control permissions as to who can add entries, delete them, etc. If you want a category created for events, etc, just help me figure out what we should set up and I'll gladly do it.

Sounds good...what I was thinking about was maybe asking for Gps coordinates of dealers, camp grounds, places to chow, that type of stuff. I have some I've kept in an excel spreadsheet. This is just an idea I had as I like to plug in all the stuff I may want or need as I travel. If anyone thinks this is a worthy idea, I'm willing to run with it. I figured I need to do something till I get my Super 10...... ;D

I have just started working on my spread sheet. This is going to be a winter project for me! Most of what I have is located in PA or on the east coast. I do have a "Diners, Drive-in's and Dives" set of way points someone put together based on the food network show.
