Here's a hello from North Yorkshire, England from another S10 newbie. I've had my 2013 S10 for about 3 months now, it came fully equipped with a Givi touring screen, spotlights, crash bars, sump guard, gear indicator, heated grips, and full Yamaha luggage set and of course I'm really pleased with it. I've taken it on a short 800 mile round trip to Belgium (dreadful concrete slab roads) and Germany (superbly contoured/grippy tarmac roads) where it has proved to be a brilliant tourer. My only minor issue is that I find the handlebar a little too raked back and it is causing my right hand to cramp up from holding the throttle after about an hour, otherwise the bike is perfect. This is a great forum, thanks for all the many things S10 I've already learned from it, and for the helpful stuff I'm sure I'll be picking up in future.

Try adjusting the handlebars by loosing the clamp and rotating the bars up about an inch. Remember to tighten the clamp. As far as the right hand cramp I use a cramp buster on the grip, really reduces the fatigue and I have full control of my speed.

Good Luck

Definitely start with adjusting the bars...and if that doesn't work, there are several threads in the tech section about changing them out.

Yep, changing the bars to something with less pull back/sweep has been a proven remedy for wrist/cramp/numbness issues. ProTaper has the Raptor and the new Adventure bend. The Raptor is about 1.25" taller than stock which could be a good thing for your ergos as well.
