Just joined the forum to monitor info about the 2014 S10. I am hoping the US model will have cruise, tc, and multi ecu maps. Guess we will find out in March.

I currently ride a 2002 V-Strom that I bought new, and it has been a really reliable and enjoyable bike.

I also fancy the new KTM 1190, but need to see one in person, and test ride it to make a final decision.

Hope to learn from the collective wisdom of this group.

Traction control and multimaps is etched in stone. You can't get an S10 without it.

Cruise Control is available in every market that Yamaha has announced the 2014 as available.
So you can say it's etched in stone too.
All you are really waiting on is an availability date. I think it will be announced soon. 45-60 days.

Welcome and good luck with your research. Snake seems to have handled your questions pretty well.

I'm in the eastern part, home of the Hawkeyes. Recognize your handle from the Iowa ADV thread.

Yo, SloMo. Yeah, your timing is perfect. For an extra grand (probably 20 bucks in the U. S.), you get a lot of extra stuff. Definitely the way to go. Keep us posted on your progress, and ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Welcome from a past Iowan
I was from Sux City errr sioux city then figured out that Iowa stands for "I oughta went around" the place as too darn cold for me LOL
So Im wimping out my winters in Texas.
Heck they had a 1/8 inch of freezing rain and the whole state pretty much shut down.
You can take off the day here if you think there is ice in the driveway.

Another greeting from Texas. Post up some pics when the beast makes it to your garage.
