Hi all. I joined because I'm in the market for an adventure bike, and I'm trying to decide which one. I have a Speed Triple and a BV 350 scooter.

I had a Tiger 955i which I traded in on the scooter. I love the BV. It is my commuter year round. I want something comfortable for longer trips, but still fun.

Nice to meet all of you.

Welcome aboard Wayne.

The super tenere does it all very well. You can take it on long journey’s or off-road, fit the right shoes and she will take you there. Bulletproof and underestimated.

From the Netherlands,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan.

My only concern is the weight. I thought the Tiger was big and heavy, and this is heavier.
If I can deal with that while moving it around, I really like it otherwise.

I sold my FJR this summer. Fantastic bike, but I really want an ADV bike instead.

Once you start rolling the weight disappears magically. I came from a R6 so had a lot more weight all of a sudden but got used to it very quickly. A whole lot of guys here came from a FJR too, for most of us this is a keeper.

Yeah. I felt the same about the Tiger. Super comfy and didn't feel heavy at all when moving. It was a pain moving around my small garage though.

Welcome from Texas. I had to rewrite my first intro. I was going to say that the Tenere is a fairly drastic departure from your other ride(s). The Tenere is a big girl, but most of my exes were big girls too. (ST13, RT, & FJR) Stefan is right about how she looses weight as she starts moving. If you were good with the FJR, you should like the Tenere. FJR is heavier.

Greetings from Minnesota!

Compared to a cruiser it seems top heavy but can out manuever them in tight spaces. I have owned a V Strom and spent time on a GS and they have nothing on the Super T

Good hunting!

Just getting around to reading the posts here (since winter set in in the Columbus area). Have you made a decision/purchase yet? S10s aren't very popular in central Ohio so it is often difficult to see them up close or sit upon one. Mine is parked for the winter but available if you would like to sit on it to see how comfortable it feels for you or just to ask questions.
