Hi Guys, Well I'm about to embark on my 12th motorcycle. I currently ride a '16 FJ-09 and had a '14 FJR before that. The decision to purchase a S10 was probably my toughest choice yet, but only because I was deliberating between it and a GS. The S10 won out mostly due to reliability concerns and secondarily due to higher cost. I'm in the process of trying to sell my FJ-09 now on craigslist and as soon as I do I plan to buy a '17 ES. I think I will travel the 500 miles and try Romney's as a few folks here have mentioned. Anyway, I really look forward to having cruise, heated grips and shaft drive back, all wile having some off road ability.

Welcome aboard! I'd think coming off of two previous Yamahas, the decision would be an easy one to go for the Tenere.

Update: I bought a '17 ES today. My local dealer is having one shipped in. I will pick her up next saturday. Thanks for being such a great source of info.

Well, I brought her home today. Took the back way home and it was almost 3 hours. All I can say is wow! I love this bike. There is no comparison between this and my only FJ-09. I can clearly see now why this one costs about $5500 more. Its worth every penny.
