Long time BMW owner (still have my '16 GS) and just bought my "new to me" '13 S10 so that I can do a reliability comparison . Great board and community here. I can already see that this is going to cost me some serious farkleage despite my bike being pretty well kitted out (Ohlins, RDL, Arrow header, Yosh pipe, Tune and a couple dozen other bits and pieces). Looking forward to a good, long ride with y'all.

Hello Beemerz2! I have a 2012 that is rolling up on 100,000 miles. It is stronger and smoother than it has been since new. Just keeps getting better. Enjoy the ride!

We're on the coast about 45 minutes north of Portland. We moved here for the long riding season... not.

I never went that far north in Maine, but my wife and I used to go into the White Mountains. The Kancamagus Highway was one of our favorites. Had the FJ back then.

No. The western states were on an FZ1. Been as far as Michigan, etc on the S10.
