Hi everyone,

I'm really enjoying my S10. I'm always looking for info about it and fig'd this should be a good source.

Been riding for a while and I've owned a few bikes of pretty much every genre before: KLR, Bandit 650, DRZ, VFR, FZ1, Royal Star Venture, 650 V-Strom.

I average about 20k KM (12k mi.) per year mostly commuting and exploring the amazing roads close to Kingston on the weekends. I'm lucky enough to be able to take 1 long(ish) trip every year; last year I rode the Cabot Trail on Canada's East coast, the previous 2 yrs we enjoyed NC and TN, and in about a month I'm off to ride up to James Bay.

Thanks for your anticipated welcome! ::022::

Welcome from Richmond Hill! I've been to kingston a few times, but on the bike. If your coming around this area, let us know, there is some nice riding around here too! ::001::

I've been up to Radiation three times and took the North Road once and it's 400 km of gravel. There is a provincial park on the way in with cabins. http://jamesbayroad.com/nr/nrdriving.html

I'm already writing an email to the boys about it. Thanks for the lead!! ::003:: We'd been on the JBR website a million times and completely missed this North Road business. It sounds amazing! One is on a GS and the other a Tiger, so they should be all over this!

Welcome.
I went up the James Bay Road 2 years ago, good ride.
Be sure to ride across to Shisasibi and dip your front tire into James Bay. It's paved all the way from Radisson but don't believe your GPS if it says there is fuel enroute..... there isn't! The only gas is at 381, Radisson and Shisasibi.

Thanks! We're absolutely going to be dipping. We knew of the 381 KM stretch and we'll be packing some gas .... and a siphon hose for when the guy with the GS (and its 35L gas tank) takes a nap >:D
