Actually Marietta. Proud and happy owner of a 2013 Super T, the gray one. OEM side cases, bar, and skid plate. Which means I have to get my farkle list ready...

I love this bike - This is my first new bike ever. The difference between this and the 79 KZ750 G are astounding.

Off road school is in my future with this thing.
Was really happy to find a place where the answers to the questions I didn't know I had were already answered.

You've made a great choice. People in this forum are quite nice and you'll find plenty of info to maximize the fun out of your Super Ténéré.
Since you just got a 2013 model, I hope you got some money left for farkling the beast.
To spare you some time in searching, these are the most recommended modification (by me!).
- Heated grips (obvious in this weather) ($40 to $400)
- ECU reflash, a MUST!!! two options AVC or ECUnleashed. http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=11627.0
\I went with AVC reflash 10,000 miles ago. Never looked back. ($200 to $400)
- YES: 4 year warranty extension ($450)

Other mods
side wind deflectors (<$80)
replace progressive fork springs with linear springs($80-110)
Madstadt bracket to mount the windshield ($140)

That's about all I can think of. As you can see, that's not much. And you also can live w/o these mods.
Anyway, you will find this forum pretty boring as there is no drama with this bike, and only happy riders. Boring, but sooo satisfactory!
