hi,

have run into some problems. finished doing the bash plate, no issues

started working on the crash bars, following instructions.

I'm no longer able to fit the bolts back into the mounting spot. something shifted (bike is on center stand)

not sure how to resolve this. i'm stuck

If you have already installed the other bolts make sure they are all loose. If they are already tight , loosen it up and try again.

If all the bolts are loose then try to bend the bar a tiny little or get a metal grinder and grind the hole a little wider ??. Or have someone help you with this, put a pressure on the crash bar in the right direction.

I´m waiting for my SW MOTECH to arrive and probably have to deal with the same as you soon ;-).

Who's kid pan did you use? Is it somehow interfering with the install? Had the bike gone down once before you took the bars off this last time?

ok. got it figure out.

1- all 4 bolts on the retaining plate had to be loosened.
2- cant stress this enough, the angle of the new bolts going has to be 100% right on or you will strip.
3 - this is not a one person job

I had a similar problem when mounting my Motech's. I had to use a ratchet type tie-down strap to pull into alignment. (because I had no friends to help)
