My local dealer dealer made me a great offer on a 13 Super Tenere. The only problem is that I can't decide on the color. How difficult is the grey to take care of? I like both colors and my wife is pushing me to the white. Any input/opinions are welcome. This will be my first street bike and I am excited to join the club. Thanks again.

I love the looks of the gray, but have wondered the same about that matte finish...

Well I happen to think that blue is the bestest color on a tenere, but I may be biased! :)

I love the white, if I were picking bw the gray and white, I'd go white. I have had matte helmets and they show every little rub mark.
Make sure to post pics of whatever you get and congrats!!

Since black isn't one of your choices I would go with the white. It stands out and looks great! Good luck with whatever you chose ::003::

The good news is there are not many Teneres around my area. I am just excited to get my bike.

I picked the Grey cause I liked it better, never have liked white on any vehicle. I just wax it like I would any other color, no problems with it at all. Like Grandpa said "that's why they make Chocolate and Vanilla".

White will be more conspicuous in traffic, especially at night and at intersections. A white or yellow helmet will be visible above most cars on the highway which will help others see you before they see your bike when you are between cars coming to an intersection, entry/exit, etc.
Gray will blend in more on interstates, important if you are speeding in a challenging area, but still visible from up ahead by the lights.

the white is a color scheme that Yamaha has used on some bikes that I have fond memories of..the RZ's and a few others. the flat grey is nice and sort of reminds me of my 2008 wee in flat black. both will match well with your gear excepting for the red accents on the white. that should help

The matte grey for me. Love the darker color, and with the charcoal Jesse boxes, just looks great. This is the first bike that I am getting a lot of comments on when I park it somewhere. Even with my wife's bike next to it, as long as she is not next to her's....

White with red Worldcrosser stickers is the best combination I have seen yet ::008::

I liked the blue when it first came out. Reminded me of my first bike. But when the white with the red stripes came out, I knew I had to have one. I drove 15 hours to get the first used one I could find. Still happy with it.

Bought my White 2013 last fall. Liked the Mat Grey look too. Talking to the dealer about waxing a Mat finish said to use a special type of wax regular wax will fill in the "micro pockets" of the Mat finish and take away some of the sheen look. I also hate baked on bug juice, Can't imagine trying to clean it off of a mat finish. So I opted for the Worldcrosser look.

You should check out my 2012 used S10 at snake river Yamaha. 10k miles, new tires, tall windscreen and throttle lock. Plus some 2014 parts like rear carrier, saddle and exhaust. Its blue with black wasp decals. factory bags also... Shoulndt be priced more than 11k or more, I suspect its gonna be mid tens.

I was convinced I wanted the white and then I saw the gray and white next to one another at last year's Austin MotoGP and three weeks later I owned the gray. Paint is easy to maintain IMO and love the entire blacked out look for the entire bike.

I really like the matte gray, hence why I got it ;) I don't think maintenance is any different than any other color, at least not what I've experienced.
