I love my Scorpion EXO1100... It too has the drop down sun screen. AND the pump system to assure it fits you. The new EXO1200 also has the new emergency removable liner... With tabs so EMS can just pull out the liner so they can remove your helmet without killing you! This will be my next helmet.
I bought a Shoei GT Air and it just didn't fit my head. I was hoping. As a bonus the Scorpion was only $319.

Nexx makes what you're looking for.
I am looking for a new helmet, too, and the reviews on Revzilla were not as great as expected, for a helmet of this price range.

I just ordered a Suomy MX Tourer. Will be here tomorrow. $300, adventure style, has internal sun visor. My current lid is a suomy spec 1r so I have high hopes. If I'm not very impressed I'll send it back. I'll let you know my opinion once it comes in. I did order a size larger than my current as my current is a bit tight, so we'll see.

I ride to work when it's dark and home when it's light so the internal visor is a must.

Nolan N44, best field of view I have ever had, very flexible with multiple configurations. Quiet is good, there are some on the market that may be quieter but with my Sena communicator and camera mount on helmet not sure I would get any bette from anything on the market.

Love my Shoei Neotec
'best damn helmet I have ever had. Unfortunately I was too cheap to buy one when they came out, I had to go thru a couple of other modulars first. But while out on tour the Scorpion broke (would not open) which left me 2-3,000 miles from home w/o functioning helmet. Fortunately, I was in Northern California at the time. Unfortunately, I have a bizarrely large head (2-3XL, depending on the make).
The only modular I could find in my size was a Neotec. First time I put it on it was like shifting from a Prius to a Lexus, 'very comfy.
Also very quite, works like a Swiss watch, and the internal sun visor is the best I have ever used. I also got caught in an all-day, heavy rain in south Texas in it ('go figure) and the pin lock anti-fog insert it came with worked Like a charm, all day. Helmets really do depend upon your head shape but if this thing fits, buy it. 'Not cheap but actually worth the money and then some....

While comparing several ADV-visor equipped helmets, I was looking very closely at the Schuberth E1 myself, but keeping in mind that I would be needing something not too heavy that I could use for Adventure, Open road, and Dual Sport dirt with easy visor removal. After going in circles with Shoei X2, Nexx, Touratech Aventuro, Arai, Schuberth, Suomy MX Tourer, and others it came down to factors after price: 1) comfort 2) aero proven visor usable at 70-80mph on the road without ripping my head back 3) great value. Came full circle right back to the Shoei X2 Hornet. Found several reviews like this that helped decide - http://www.advpulse.com/adv-products/first-look-shoei-hornet-x2-dual-sport-helmet/ Will know more next week when it arrives.

I had a Scorpion modular helmet and liked it a lot until the latch broke that allows you to open the helmet. Had one heck of a time getting the thing off my head. Replaced it with an Arai XD4 that I like better in spite of not having the built in sunglasses; the Arai is quieter than the Scorpion and feels like it is lighter (but that may be aerodynamics).

Returned it. My buddy let me borrow his X2 before mine arrived. Super amazingly comfortable helmet. Had all the right features but I just could not deal with riding this helmet above 70mph, even with my windshield all the way up on the S10. It would buzz the vizor at 75-80mph on long open highway stretches, sort of vibrated the whole helmet back and forth - very annoying. Better than any of my former visor helmets but just now worth spending the money on something I could not take on long trips. Even taking the visor on-off was a nice feature, but the back of the visor rattles where it attaches when it's on. So, the decision is to buy two helmets like i had before...

Decided to return the Shoei Hornet X2, and buy a new version Shoei RF1200 Beacon on sale for 80% of the on-road riding i do, and I'l pick up a less expensive $200 ADV helmet for the 20% of time I actually ADV this bike at slower speeds. For the price, I'm able to get the RF1200 road helmet on sale and the Bell MX-9 Adventure dual sport helmet for about the same price last the Hornet X2. Certainly won't be using the ADV visor helmet for longer higher speed rides. My neck can't take it.

It seemed obvious enough, but after speaking with many riders and merchants, most agreed if you are going to spend most of your time on open road spaces, a regular helmet is so much better than one with a visor for longer trips, open riding. I tend to agree now.
