I have used Nolan N-10* helmets for several years now and they have worked for me. Recently I have let my beard grow longer and my beard gets pressed back into my chin.

It is going to sound silly but after riding I have "helmet beard" with it pushed back under my chin and looks ridiculous.

Anyone else have a longer beard (4" plus) that has suggestions for helmets, short of going to an open face?

That's the price for vanity and being a trend follower. I'm surprised that someone who rides a S10 follows fashion/trends, should you not be riding a GS? ::017::
Otherwise warm water and a new razor and lots of shaving cream.

I just have a short goatee (true goatee, not the Van Dyke every one calls a goatee), so I can't help you with that...maybe keep a beard comb handy for the post ride touch up?

I'm a low maintenance country hick.
Don't shave. Don't cut my hair.

I do brush my teethe and warsh my hair, but can't find the desire to stand at the mirror any longer than that. After all, there's nothing to SEE there except ME.

No helmet can help me.

You've got less of a problem than some of the bearded helmetless Harley guys I've seen. Their long beards are flying up in their faces when on the road. I get a chuckle every time I see one.

I keep my beard short, #3 standoff on sides, #6 in front. I know when to trim because the front starts rubbing the Scala microphone.

Last clean shave in 1972, the one before that 1970...

:)) Helmet beard! A friend of mine runs a C3 and a fair length of beard most of the year. Gets a clean shave once a year. I think I've seen him give his beard a quick sweep, never noticed anything 'wrong' with his facial hair. I keep mine short and hairs still get into the Shoei's latch. Don't know how he keeps the hair out of the C3 latch.

Maybe get one of those hygiene beard nets they use in restaurants and other clean zones? Keeps everything tucked out the way...........

You should try a dual sport helmet as they have a very pronounced mouth/chin area.
HHH- Thanks for your helpful response. I have looked at several and will probably go that route in the spring. I am not sure how much wind they catch but I guess first hand experience is the best teacher.
