Hello from a windy, wet Wisconsin. I've enjoyed reading the forum since buying my Super Tenere at the end of June. Thank you for all the great advice and the appreciation of this bike. I've been riding for 43 years, with my first three bikes being Yamaha's: a used 1967 305 street bike, a 1971 CT1-C 175 Enduro and a 1972 DS7 250. My Super Tenere shares the garage with a 2001 Honda VFR 800 with 125,000 miles on it. I trust that the Super 10 will run just as long and well.
Thanks to everyone for the help on the forum. Enjoy your miles!

Dan is a really great guy, and a serious motorcycle rider. Definitely more man than I am, as he rides into the cold (~10 degrees F) on a regular basis for his commute. I will be anxiously watching his mileage as it will quickly exceed mine.

You can't rack up 125,000 miles doing Saturday jaunts. That's a rider.

Congrats. And I agree with you. The Tenere is another one of those bikes that appears to be more than up to the task.
And now you can keep riding when the path gets a bit sketchy. :)

::004:: to the forum Dan.

I'm sure the Big XT will run just as long and well as the others if not more. :)

Welcome on, Dan from Wisconsin. Wet and windy doesn't sound too bad, as I look out at blowing snow and minus 25 C. Mighty poor. Congrats on your recent acquisition, and ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Thanks for the welcome. I have to say a special thanks to autoteach for letting me ride his Super Tenere last fall as that put this bike on the top of my list. Also rem, wow, you really have it cold already. Here it's a balmy 34 degrees, 20 mile an hour wind for my ride home this afternoon. But that's nothing compared to what you're already seeing.

Again, thank you for the welcome and also for the positive spirit and intelligent sharing on the site.
Dan
