I was killing time on my day off back in January when I stopped off at the motorcycle dealership. I looked at the Indians and Victorys first, chatted with the salesman, looked at their used bikes. Nothing there caught my eye. Everything was too shiny, high maintenance and expensive.

Then I went over to the other showroom where they sell the Kawasaki, Hondas, and Yamaha bikes. I wanted to look at the new FZ07, and the FJ09. Both were nice and great fun--no doubt--but they looked a little cramped and both had chain drive. It was hard to get excited about that. Then I saw the Super Tenere. This looked much better. Here's a bike with shaft drive, no chrome anywhere. Lots of features like ABS and TCS, and plenty of room to move around. I didn't go in there thinking about the Super Tenere, but I haven't stopped thinking about one since.

So, this week I brought one home!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Like I'd indicated in my OP, the tenere hasn't really been on my radar, so not sure I've ever seen one in the wild. Just looking through the other posts, it becomes quite obvious that we're out there.

I'm a little surprised to hear that you've still got snow, GA. We saw the last of ours early last week. I can imagine that, depending upon location, you may have had a lot more to start with. Spring's on the way--it won't be long now.

What is considered local when it comes to Teneres? Judging by the first post, in or near brown county? I am sure there is more than one indian/victory dealer in wisc.
