Recently bought a 2020 xt1200z. Changed from a 2012 gsa, and I'm enjoying the reduced cost of everything
Hi Robwarm welcome Terry
from S Wales UK i swapped my 2010 gsa 10 years ago for my tenere
Rob
both nice looking bikes. I loved the 1200, but it took a while to get it to be reliable. Luckily it came with full warranty and I just gave it back to them. So many issues to start with, but got it very nice eventually. Biggest change was swapping to Wilburs suspension with their version of the electronic shocks. Unreal difference. Will be doing the same with this I think.i had a 1150gsa for 8 yrs it was bullet proof biggest mistake i ever made selling it, later had a 2010 gsa had it 12 months could not get rid of it quick enough lol
Give me a shout when you're up nextspend quite a few weekends in the summer months up your way love north wales, spend alot of time in and around betws-y-coed

the shock was about £1100 with a added 170 spring that i needed for 2 up with weights and luggage, the dealer i had it from did 9 months interest free credit so it was easyVery serious set up. Must have cost a bit though
Thanks sierraWelcome, from Texas. Rob has put a few bits on his too. That poor ol' raggedy thing.
That's not bad at all really. Did you do anything with the fork springs, or are they ok as standard.the shock was about £1100 with a added 170 spring that i needed for 2 up with weights and luggage, the dealer i had it from did 9 months interest free credit so it was easy

Thanks #barkingmadcongrats on your new ride, terrywales, with a simple hello...
to be honest i,ve not felt anything wrong with the front solo riding or 2 up with luggage so i left them,That's not bad at all really. Did you do anything with the fork springs, or are they ok as standard.
Could also use another opinion on crash bars, pannier racks and a screen
do you have panniers for it, i see the bike has the givi top box plate on it ready, i have altrider crash bars there superb but you can,t get them new anymore, givi ones for the xt1200 hold up superb in crash tests and are readily available uk wiseThat's not bad at all really. As you can see even by that snippet of a picture, I was being quite tongue in cheek about his bike being raggedy. And I'm not sure that there are any more bits that he can put on his beauty queen. Thanks sierra
