Hi chaps I live near Fort William and am a grey haired 18 year old ::001::
Having ridden for the last three years on an XT660Z around the hills and tracks round home, and as far away as the Pyreness
That was the first Yamaha Ive had and its been a cracker Hence ...
I take delivery of a new Super Tenere ZE in November
To do more comfotable long distant touring, while still having off road capability
I joined to find out whats what with the bikes and find out if any one near by has one
If you have any Scottish travel questions please ask
Cheers Ian

So, I just mapped Fort William and i must say it looks like it would be an awesome place to ride! I would say a trip across the pond to do a motorcycle vacation has to be one of my bucket list items. Welcome and good luck in your search. I will tell you the Tenere is a great bike. The limited time I have been on dirt was an absolute blast. It is extremely comfortable on long trips and does very well on the pavement. ::001::

Good to have you on board. Send photos of your ride and trips.

If plans come together may be across the pond next year.

Good Luck

I get up to Fort William from the midlands every chance I get - last year the first time i managed was the Easter bank holiday - 70mph winds in a tent, - great fun :)

On the way back one time last year - in June I believe after a 8 days camping around the north coast - I had a quick chat with an xt660 rider while waiting at roadwork lights heading into Glencoe village after coming over the bridge from Fort William - about tyres if i recall correctly - may have been yourself?

Either way, maybe see you up there!
