Picked up a 2016 S10 demo with 500 KM on it .Put the side cans on and a Kappa top case left over from my old ride (750 shadow aero). Now I get to wait 3 months or so to ride it . The main thing I bought it over a similar Honda ? Cruise control !

I started my career as a construction electrician for Ontario Hydro left Bruce A and OH because of a strike , 4 years at CSA, 16 years self employed and the last 15 years almost back where I started only working for Bruce Power at Bruce GSB . My S10 is my retirement gift to myself, March 1 is the lucky day. Thanks for the reply . Steve

Hello 1954. Congratulations on the new bike and your retirement. You will enjoy both. I have been retired for about 3 years now and it's the best job I ever had. I'm sure you will agree. I live in Wisconsin and the winters are way too long here to. Especially with a new bike in the garage. Hang in there, spring will eventually get here.

Thanks for the replies and I have to say I really like this forum. Huge amounts of info and a friendly international flavour. With all the new members popping up here this bike must be a big seller for Yamaha.

I've been retired 1 year now Steve. The first half of the year started off great, six weeks in New Zealand, Romney and the continental divide from New Mexico back to Canada when I had a low speed get off in Wyoming and busted up my ankle. As Checkswrecks says Romney is a great time and it's only around 800km. I leave a few days before and head the long way through NY state and camp on the way down. Your more than welcome to ride down with me if your into it.

a Paul.

Hello and Welcome from Ohio......

Hope you can make it to Romney. I think you would enjoy the area, not to mention the ride to and from. ::012::
