Hello from PA

Been soaking up the knowlegde here so I figured I'd better get registerd. I'm in south central PA. Just picked up my black ST two weeks ago in MD. Got 800 miles on it now. I wasnt looking for a new bike, then I learned of the Tenere. Seeing more power and an adventure bike in my future, the timing was perfect. I did a test ride and the bike "clicked" right from the start and I ended up with one a week later.

I'm 50+ and started riding offroad bikes 5 years ago after a 20 year absence. Got my first steet bike (Honda NT700V) a few years ago and was looking for more power for 2-up, more up right position and most of all, versital, so I traded the NT for the ST ::015::

I've been offroad with the ST on rocky, gravel dirt roads already and love it. This bike has more offroad in its future once I add some protection (skid plate, engine guards, headlight, etc) and tires.

This weekend I'm gonna take care of the off-idle issue with the air screws, I found the solution here ::008::

Welcome to the forum XRanimal. I'm also a Pennsylvanian located in the Hollidaysburg / Altoona area. I have not gotten my bike yet. I had ordered early last sept but when the suonmi hit japan the subsequent delays forced me to cancel my order as I needed the money for a new roof on the house. But all is squared way and I should be picking up a new Tenere from my dealer around Xmas time! I'm also an Honda XR fanatic I have two cherry condition 1991 XR 600's.
