Hello from North Texas...

Hey, everyone. Gary here. 60ish year-old rider who's been riding for 50 years. Been to every state except Hawaii and Alaska, and most of Canada. Had several bikes, liked 'em all, for the most part. I currently have a 2012 Honda Goldwing GL1800 and just bought a brand new 2018 Yamaha Super Tenere in July 2018 after 11 years and 92,000 miles on a 2008 Suzuki V-Strom DL650. The V-Strom was a great bike and I had a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to the shaft drive (no chain maintenance) of the Tenere as well as the cruise control. I've put a nice full set of Givi Trekker Outback bags on the Tenere and a Fenda Extenda. Probably won't do much more than maybe a Givi tank bag.

I won't post too often, but will use the forum to search for help with maintenance and such. I look forward to my time on the Tenere.

Hi Top Ten, another ex-strom guy here too. I had a 2009 DL650. Had it for 4 years and really liked it but I needed something physically larger and I wanted shaft drive. The xt1200 is a superb bike. Enjoy!
