Hey all! I'd been lusting after the SuperTen for a year, and last week on my birthday the demo truck came to my local dealer so I took one out... and came back and bought one (damn their marketing tactics).

It's a leftover 2013, in white.

I picked it up Monday evening the 25th and have 1200 miles on it now. LOVE this bike, wow.

Joined the forum for info re: farkles. I've bolted a Givi plate to the back to carry my topbox, and will probably bolt SWMotech racks to it for my Pelican bags too. Needs a better windshield for highway blasts, leaning toward the MRA Vario...

Others in my stable: '08 KLR, '02 SV650 (now for sale), '01 R11S, '00 Valkyrie

Welcome from just around the corner in Gardner. There's a small email list of local Super T riders, let me know if you would like to be included. I have a madstad bracket that is is going unused if you want to experiment with windscreen positions. BTW, which dealer had the demo truck?

::004:: from Iowa, Kate! The MRA Vario is a great setup if you need a better screen. The OEM winglets help to keep air off the torso as well, if the bike didn't come with them.

Hooray, Gardner! Sure, love to be on a SuperTen list. And I'd also love to experiment with that bracket; I'll even give it back when I'm done!!

The demo truck was at MOM's (Manchester NH). They also had the new Indian Scout there, though they weren't allowing demo rides on that. ::024::

Hey Kate and fellow NER'd - welcome to the party ::018::

I think if you used that Madstad bracket and my tall Yamaha WS it would be a great start. Agree 100% on the Winglets making a difference. If all else fails after that the MRA X-screen Tour will take away any last bit of buffeting. Shoot me a PM and let me know when you are stopping by on Saturday on your way south!

mm, Welcome and congrats on the nice new ride. ::004::

With the KLR I assume you sometimes ride in the dirt and if so look fwd to your assessment of the S10 in that regard. R u into things like the TMT, PDR or the new Hampster ride up thru NH?. 1200 miles on the new bike in a few days is some serious seat time! ::021::

Hope to c u out there at some point. Enjoy the forum.

Cheers, dean ::001::

Hi Kate and ::004:: Don't know what it is exactly, considering I've probably had sexier bikes that fulfilled 'all' my needs at that time in the past, but even after a few months, I still absolutely lust after my Super Tenere. My appreciation of it kinda feels different to other steeds I've owned, yet why exactly who knows?? Sat on one at a bike show here in England when they first came out and was just blown away, but strangely thought it'd be one of them bikes I never own. :'( Oh so glad that I got that wrong!! :) Anyhows, guess ya know now, I likes me bike!! :D
On the topic of screens was tanking along a fast road only yesterday, thinking how mint my Givi touring screen is mounted upon the Touratech adjuster... Can happily ride at motorway speeds with my visor up, something I've not had the pleasure of experiencing with most of my past rides... ::008:: Tis a dearer combination, but more food for thought perhaps... Enjoy ya S10! ::003::
