Howdy folks and thanks for having me!

Just placed the order yesterday for a new 2015 S10 (red) from the local dealer (Frederick, MD) and thought I better join this forum so I can learn from you all and join the family.

This will be my first BIG bike. Started on a Yamaha Zuma 125 a few years ago, then a Yamaha WR250R last year, then finally this. Looking forward to learning from you all!

Greetings all the way from Damascus and those are nice folks at Fredericktown. Feel free to look me up if you need local help.

Keep the WRR, even if you will be riding it less. It is the perfect bookend and counterpart to the big bike.

Welcome from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. You might want to consider taking the new machine down to the Tail of the Dragon 4/24 with the Southern Maryland Adventure Riders. Good riding with similar bikes.

Welcome from Edgewater, MD! Drop a line if you're up for some riding when you get the bike. Good to see another local S10!

Best,

Madhatter:

You are correct! Maryland, or as it is properly called, "The Peoples Republic of Marylandistan", is indeed a communist hellhole with all the attendant joys of such jurisdictions. High taxes, high crime, and drastically reduced civil rights. When we bought our first home a couple years ago, I wanted a place that came with woods so I could bow hunt on my own land and also put my own shooting range in. Appropriate land in a real state (like Virginia) within commuting distance to DC was out of our budget so we settled for Maryland.

Interestingly, the commies here are particularly dim witted and their firearm ban attempts are appropriately flawed with numerous loopholes. Also, the Maryland State Police WILL sign your ATF Form 4/Form 1 for your NFA toys (machineguns, silencers, short-barreled rifles, etc.) so that actually is a pro 2nd A benefit from Maryland that is sadly missing from many states. Try getting your Form 4 or Form 1 signed if you live in Houston. It ain't gonna happen unless you know someone the right way.

Spent many years in TX. The food, the insane bowhunting, the rock climbing, the great people, I miss it like crazy!

Maryland will do for now. It is a wonderful state if you take Baltimore and PG County out of the equation.

magdump, you get to educate all those people who think freedom is the government keeping them from hurting them selves.... the sheep never like a sheep dog till the wolf shows up... it is so very sad that most americans dont know anything about freedom...... glad your one of us....
