Hello from Indiana

I bought a Super Tenere 2 weeks ago and love it. It is going to replace my FZ1 with 40k miles on it. I have changed my riding style and have been doing 3k mile trips the last couple of summers and was looking at the BMW, but the Yamaha just made more since and if it is anywhere as dependable as my FZ1 has been I will be very happy. Looking froward to the Spring now so I can get Vera out and put some more miles on her. The upside is I will have all winter to accessorize!!!!

I have been riding for over 30 years, I have road raced and raced enduroes, I now mostly autcross and and just ride for pleasure and to see things. Next summer I am planning on hitting the west coast and circumnavigating the great lakes.

Hello ValpoFz. Gald to hear that you like the bike. It'll continue to grow on you. I'm a fan of the FZ1 ... had a beautiful 2009 naked fully kitted out with Yoshi, Rizoma bars, Pazzo's, Gilles, R&G's everywhere, Power Commander, K&N, Ohlins ... you name it I did it. I too considered a long history of great luck with Yamaha products in going with the Super Tenere over a BMW or the others. I’m at 4,500 without an issue and seem to get more and happier with this model as the miles pile on.

Hey guys thanks for all the welcomes! I plan on a trip to the west coast next summer, my daughter lives in San Francisco and I grew up in SoCal and still have family and friends there. IN riders we need to meet up sometime, I am really busy this time of the year but once spring comes it tends to slow down some. If any of you are up in NWI, give me a shout.
