New member doing some research on the S10.
I have spent the last 25 years riding on the street and most of my younger years on the dirt.
I'm not new to ADV bikes although I don't care for that term but have had a few. Cagiva Gran Canyon, KTM 950 ADV, DL650 and a bunch of thumpers. Along with many sport/sport touring bikes.
I love motorcycle travel and always looking for the perfect tri sport bike, or as close to that compromise that you can get.
Recently totaled my DL650 and thanks to ATGAT came away mostly unscathed, sore wrist and ankle and two broken ribs.

So if you take time to say hi please leave some feed back about what you like/dislike about your Tenere.

Nice to meet you!

Todd

TD90S What part of the state do live in? Some of the things I like about the S10 is it's ability to do things easily. Touring, very comfortable. Twisties, no problem, smooth as silk. Rough mountain FS roads, point it in the right direction and it will take you there.

I'm in Marietta.
Great feedback, thanks. Sounds like my type of bike.
I sat on the Tenere last night at the motorcycle show along with all the other contenders, it felt the most natural to me.

That's where I got to see my first white one last year. I have that picture as a screen saver on my computer. Planning on going to the show tomorrow. I took a test ride on 2012 almost 2 years ago. I couldn't get it out of my head after that.

Did you ride one at a demo day or did a local dealer let you ride one? If so what dealer?

Greetings. Loads of everything to like about the S10. The fly-by-wire throttle is a bit irritating but can be gotten use to & a crampbuster helps.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search. Overall very pleased with my S10. Tours with ease and handles forest service roads great. Not really much to dislike. I did change out the seat and bars to better suit me.

Welcome on, Todd from Georgia. What do I like about the bike ??? Just not enough time or room at this point. I love it. Please feel free to ask some specific questions and we'll drown you in Teneratia. It's an awesome bike. ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Greetings and salutations from The Sandbox.

Not hard to find a lot of Tenere love floating around this place - it's simply a great do-it-all bike that's dead-nuts reliable and more fun than should be allowed... That about sums it up for me.

Enjoy your search!

With all these S10 owners in Georgia I sure do have a lot of trouble finding someone to go riding with.

I don't get it. My personal hygiene is usually pretty good and I'm rarely an asshole.

I don't think is you. Never met so can't Speak about your hygiene:)

It was the same with the Stromtrooper forum, lots of Georgia folk but about two guys to ride with.
Will let you know when I have another bike.
Always looking for more people to ride with.

So what route is you favorite day ride in or around Georgia?

Welcome Todd.

Love the bike, w/ 28k completely trouble free miles, it's extremely dependable and I do not hesitate to take it on any-length trips, fully loaded, no worries... I don't ride much single trak but give me gravel or hard pack dirt and I'm there all day long. of course it'll do 80mph/850 mile long days too no sweat.

Hope u find what ur lookin for.

Hard to say. There's lots of good stuff in North Georgia. I'm meeting some non-Tenere friends at Rider's Hill in Dahlonega this morning at 9:00.
