Hello folks

I am originally from South Africa and moved to the US about 11 years ago. Citizen for 4 and S10 owner for a week now. I grew up in a small farming community close to Kruger National Park and spent most of my child hood on a Suzuki OR50. Now that thing was a never say die bike... lol

My First bike here in the USA was a 2009 KLR650 and I out grew that rather quick and just a week ago traded the KLR for a 2013 white and red Tenere. I absolutely LOVE this bike and I am hoping to learn many things here that will allow me to take good care of this one and enjoy it safely till I buy my ES.... lol

I also own a 2011 YZ450F so the S10 will probably not se much dirt... (-:

Have a good day guys and gals and Ill see you on the other side of the intro? ::021::

Welcome Shipwreck.

I gotta ask.......if you had acquired an S10 while you were still in South Africa, would it have likely "seen much dirt?" :)

Colorado certainly provides WORLD CLASS adventure, on road. Stunning views from so many places.
But man there are just so many temptations there that lure you off the tarmac.

Regardless, you have 2 weapons to conquer. You certainly have the bases covered for that magnificent ADV state

Hey, welcome aboard from an ex-Colorado person! Also, as of yesterday an ex-Tenere owner.

Where are you located? I moved from Loveland to here in Sidney last year, but spent almost my entire life in Colorado.

Enjoy the "new" Tenere!!!

These freeking bikes in South Africa is so bloody expensive. if I owned an S10 is SA it would not have seen dirt roads no. But on the other hand the black top is in such bad shape that that could have counted as riding in the dirt... hahahahaha. My S10, even though I say it wont, will see some dirt tho. Just nothing close to the trails and tracks we do with the YZ but the luring temptation of a well maintained forest road with some inviting "hops" will most likely change my mind.

Thank you for the nice hellos fellas!

We like it here. It's my wife's home town and I suppose some might say it's mine as well since I was born here. I still consider Loveland my home town as my family moved there when I was only 1 1/2 years old. Enjoy the much slower pace where people still speak and wave and just overall friendlier. I don't miss the traffic of the Front Range, but do miss the mountains.
