I purchased a black ST today from Hi-Point M.S. in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and will take delivery on Tuesday. I have been riding for 50 years. I started with a Triumph Speed Twin (500cc) in 1961. I have owned all sorts of motorcycles but since 1993 I have been on Ducatis. My current bike is a 2002 ST4s that I bought new in 10/01. I love that machine. I have spent tons of time and $ on it and it is just right for me. I intend to keep it forever but was looking for something different to ride in different places. The area where I mostly ride (Western CO an Eastern UT) has tons of great riding on pavement and dirt but the dirt has been off limits to me on the DUC (mostly because of tires, stiff suspension, short travel, and expensive body work). I considered lots of bikes but the Super Ten (can't call it an ST, that's a Ducati) came to the top. I am barely 5'9" w/ a 29" inseam so all dirt bikes and most dual sports are too tall for me. I thought the Super Ten might work because the seat height (low setting) is the same as my jacked up Ducati. I refused to preorder until I, at least, had a chance to swing a leg over the bike an see how it sat and felt. A friend orderd a Raven ST from HI Point in March. He had to cancel in July because he hadn't sold his R1. The dealer didn't expect the bike to show up but it arrived on Thursday. I spent 3 hours this morning removing covers, seats and racks and looking around. I sat on it in the low position and I can almost flat foot which is fine. Easy to get it up on the center stand. I wrote a check.

This site has been a big help to me in deciding to buy the S-10 and will be a big help in my decisions re accessories. I will post again when I have something to contribute.

Jeff, welcome and congrats on your new machine. I look forward to any additional ride impressions you may have after you've gotten better acquainted with your new Super Ten.

Cool - another SuperT owner here in Colorado!!!!! Good to have you aboard! There are several owners here along the front range, but I believe you are the first from the western slope. I love the riding over that way!!

Again - WELCOME!!!!
