Wow. If I could get 80 MPG I would let it flash! Best I have so far is about 45 miles per gallon. But at just a little over 4K miles so my 14 ES is not broken in yet.

80 MPG is about 125 kmts per gallon, equal to approximately 25 kmts per liter. That's a lot. Do we get that amount of tarmac per liter? I do ride at 8000 feet....

My gear indicator started flashing in 6th gear intermediately at around 80mpg ?
What's it mean?
Some info found on their website:

Programmable Shift Light function as well as High Speed Warning feature is included. You won’t find this feature set in other products.
Q: How do the programmable shift light and High Speed Warning features work?
A: For the Shift Light ("SL"), once you hit or exceed the pre-set RPM, the display will rapidly flash "U". For the High Speed Warning ("HSW"), it will flash the actual gear rapidly once you hit or exceed.

If flashing is the effect of High Speed Warning, surely this can be turned off. Mine doesn't flash and I've touched 200 kph on a few occasions.
