I take it your bike is a Generation 1 Tenere?
Did this bike come with any extended YES Warranty?
If any recall repairs had been done it will all be on record with Yamaha.
I had extended YES transferred by the previous owner at my local Yamaha dealer.
I didn't even need the paperwork when they replaced my main wiring harness in march.
They had all the info on hand of all the recall repairs, both O-Rings and headlight harness replacement.
Call the main hub in California and request any recall repair history, you're dealer will be able to pull this up as well.
If he says otherwise he's full of Sh*t and being lazy and non responsive!!
I reported a service manager from my local Yamaha dealer that gave me so much BS on why he couldn't then wouldn't work on my bike.
That the next time he just took off to the garage when he saw me walking towards the counter. Some are the best you can find others are just lazy.
You have to find the right button to push sad to say.
