Last night I traded in my "long in the tooth" Harley and sadly, my Super Tenere. The last time I really got to use the best bike I've ever owned was when a great group of riders joined me in an assault on Mormon Well Rd. Since then the bike we all know and love had been relegated to the duties of a common commuter. So, to better match the bike I ride, to the riding I do, I traded for a Victory Cross Country.

More than the loss of a great bike, I fear my greatest sense of loss will be the bond I have so very much enjoyed with you all. It has been wonderful reading all of the comments that come from years of gathering knowledge. I have had little insight to share, but have learned much. For that I thank you. Those of you that I have shared a dirt road with will be fondly remembered.

So if you don't mind, I'll check in from time to time to catch up on the drama. Might even chirp in if warranted. And I will certainly give an enthusiastic wave to any and all Super Tenere's I see on the road.

Life is good......living is great.

Ride safe.

Good looking bike joneil! I can picture you on it and a cigar in your mouth. Most all of us will own other bikes in time. Friendships are worth keeping. Liked your ride reports if you get to missing the dirt a cheap DR maybe the ticket. Keep checking in and post some more ride reports of your trips.

I don't get it... just because you have atrocious taste in motorcycles doesn't mean you aren't welcome around here...

Stick around... we need someone to serve the beers... ::015::

And because I don't know you from a bar of soap, I'd just like to point out that this reply was intended in the best of humour.

I'm just saying, nothing wrong with being a commuter...

I hope you and your lovely bride enjoy the new ride...and yes, you can still stick around here. Something tells me you'll be back on an ST in the future...
