For any Civil War buffs who are considering a ride around Harpers Ferry this video shows what you can expect if you know where to look. There's a lot of history around this area and some pretty good riding nearby.

Harpers Ferry.

Some of my favorite roads! You missed pointing out the ice cream in town. Then there's Boonesboro, Antiedam, Sharpsburg, Ft Ritchie...

:)

On a tangent and I know it's city riding, but the cherry blossom trees are just starting to pop in DC. If anybody is interested in seeing the Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin in full bloom, it ought to be next week.

Thanks for the post. I'll have to check that out this year perhaps at the same time as the Romney Event and get in Gettysburg as well.
This Sunday I head south from Indiana to Shilo and Vicksburg then where ever for a few days in the south.
Regards
Scooper

That was done with a Drift HD170. Pretty happy with that camera.

I've been very happy with the Drift. That video was shot in 720 but it will do 1080. I really like the remote feature.

Thanks. Fortunately it's a hobby that goes hand in hand with riding.

Thanks for the video. Even though West (By God) Virginia is my home state, I haven't been back to Harpers Ferry since I was a youngin'. Great to see it again.

I have, however, made it to the Snowshoe area for some excellent dual sport riding.

Here's a term I coined to convey the spirit of Wild and Wonderful West Virginia: Redneck Europe

Let's gooooooooooooooooo Mountaineers!
