Just an FYI, Happy Trail is offering %20 off right now on select pannier systems. I just placed an order on the 9" cliff cut Tetons for $892 shipped. Hopefully they fit the 14's the same. I love Jesse Odyssey bags but there is almost $500 difference between the two, can't pass that up right now. Will post pics when mounted.

BTW I friggin love this bike..........

BIG +1 on that. I have had them for several years, exactly the same and love them. Well built, waterproof and no damage after several slow tip overs. Great racks too, really strong.

If you are in the market (or want to be) for panniers I recommend you jump on this deal ::008::

Happy Trails have some good products and even better folks making them.

We've been working with them for sponsoring the 2014 Tenere rally this year, and they were very, very nice to talk with. In fact, someone lucky is going to win a set of 7.5" or 9" Teton Clif's ::008::

HT panniers finally came in after about three weeks. I mounted them with the stock passenger grab bars deleted so my brace between the two sides is not functional. They only come in at 35" wide and seem stout enough right now. I will weld up a new rear brace when I get a chance. They seem to be very high quality and I love the lashing brackets on the lids. My urban assault commuter is just about ready.

Indyrider you comment "I mounted them with the stock passenger grab bars deleted so my brace between the two sides is not functional." You don't need a new rear brace. I did the same thing deleting my grab rails. You can bend the rear brace ends inwards a bit on both ends and it still works. That is what I did to mine.

You will love these panniers. You will love that you can open the lids, pull things out of the panniers and stack them on the open lids while you unpack or repack. ::008::

Cool! Thanks for the heads up. I still might try to rig something up that goes inside the tail, but right now I'm going to ride and enjoy putting some miles on.
