Recently I replaced the handle bars with SW motech non shock bars. And it feels like the new bar is lower then the stock so I am thinking of adding bar risers. The only bar riser I could find was 30mm one from OFF-THE-Road web site. Has any one had this riser? Does it require re routing or replacing the cables? I would appreciate any input

I used the Rox Proset Backs. These did not require any modification to the hoses or wiring.

They offer the Rox in different heights. Do you know, or can you go measure, what height yours are? Center to center or top of bar to top of bar would be great.

Rox risers have 2" rise , touratech is 20mm and most others around 25-30mm...so I decided to go with 30mm rise ..I think it will be ok for me since I am only 6.1 tall

Rox also offer a 1.75" rise in the 1 1/8 bar size. I could use some more back. Up would be ok, but is not my main reason for wanting risers. I'm tall torso'd and right now when I'm in a comfortable position on the seat, I'm at the back of it, and my elbows are not bent very much at all. I notice the fatigues in the elbows more than any other part of the arms or hands on long rides/days.

You can use up to a two inch adjustable riser on the Tenere if you push your lever perches inwards as far as the hand guard will allow. Hoses will be snug at full lock, but not dangerous. Jaxon/Tabasco is selling two inch longer hoses just for that reason. So the 20-30mm block risers, or the set back block riser, all shorter than the two inch ROX, should fit more easily.

As I noted earlier, two inch/5.0cm risers will work if you work to give the hoses as much slack as you can, then the hoses are only snug, not tight.

I would think the 1.75" (44.45mm) riser is approaching maximum rise. I installed the 2" (50.8mm) pivoting Rox riser and had to use Jaxon's longer lines. There was no way around it for me. I also had issues with the wiring and had to get out the old wire stretcher to free up a little slack. I rotated the bars back some so may have needed more wire/line length than others.

Tnx guys. I'am trying to find some real life info on the 1,75 inch Rox riser, but so far i found none. 4-5 cm's would be great i think, coz i'am pretty bent over in stand up mode.
How do u guys feel during road riding with yr hands being that higher?

Ive been running the 1.5" and I think there great ! The ROX will give you a little pull back. Mine are just risers, with no pull back... Much better sitting and standing... I can now ride standing up for hours !!! ::013::
