Hi all,

Ive got some rust spots on my handlebars, not terrible but getting on my nerves so i want to get them gone. I might be able to touch up instead of respraying the whole thing but I don’t know what grey (paint code) Yamaha uses. Ive looked about and most images seem to have the same handlebar color as mine. I’ve got a UK spec 2013. Does anyone know or done something simular and found a good color match?

Cheers

welcome Mike,

i don,t think you,ll find a answer on here to that, i know a few have changed handle bars all together for better ergonomics etc but not painted standard bars, and if you paint the hole bar, and there a silverish colout to start as long as you paint the hole bar don,t think it,ll matter what silver you use nobody will even notice it, touch up tho yes will be hard to get it perfect, i have a 2013 as well but with all the switches on mine and a touratech handle bar bag you can only see a inch here and there of mine

welcome anyway

I spent 30+ years in the exciting world of watching paint dry. Bimota hit it on the head. Paint the whole thing. It will be less work and you will be happier with the results

Welcome, from Texas. Good luck with the handlebar repaint. And nothing says you have to go back with silver.
