Had to do something motorcycley today

Well, I got my trail down the driveway all finished, and a fine trail it is. Plenty big enough for my fat Honda. However, there are three miles of gravel road from my place to the highway, and it's in kaka condition. If it ain't ice, it's mud. My Tenere could handle it, but not my fat Honda. So I'm thinking I'll load the old boy up in the trailer and try to find an ice free parking lot downtown.


Life can be tough on us old northern dogs. I knew you'd want to know this. Oh, I moved my trailer again. It was in the dogs' play area.

It must be moving my way. In the 80's here yesterday and again today, but a high of 35 expected tomorrow.

OK. It's time to take the bull by the tail, and face the situation. I loaded up my FAT HONDA last night and am hauling his tailpipe into town. Going for FIRST RIDE today. Still can't get past my driveway and/or road due to ice, snow, mud, etc. I may have a buyer for my FAT HONDA. He's gonna take it for a spin tomorrow. IF he buys it, I'll be sans bike until I depart for Calgary in mid May. Just sayin'. Additional sympathy and funding may be appropriate. I'll keep you posted. Keep those check books handy. My best riding buddy is gonna take out a Super Tenere demo today and we're going for a cruise. Semi-crappy day, but what the heck. Hard cheese. Gotta getter done. He's in the market. Eyeballing the BMW so I said why not give the Super 10 a shot? Why not, indeed ??? Could be six of us up here soon ... maybe ... possible .... only problem is, the demo is BLACK. What's the problem??? Well, they want to keep the demo for a while. So if he buys one, it will have to be the blue one. Ewwwwwwww .... oh well, paint is cheap. OK, I knew you'd want to know that. I stopped off at my local dealer yesterday and he has one of each color, so simply send your buddy down this way to pick one up!! See, problem solved!!

Just the opposite here. My dealer told me the blue one was the official demo, but can't seem to get any interest in the black one, so had agreed to demo it as well......

Exactly what they wanted. As soon as the BLACK goes on demo (what the potential buyers have been waiting for), someone will ride it, the price drops, and it gets scooped up. Very clever. It's probably difficult to sell an unfortunate old blue even if it IS a demo. ::003:: R
