Guilt after bad dream...sold the Tenere

I had a great day riding yesterday. I just got my ancient SV650 back after a brake rebuild and went searching for snowy owls here in VA. Didn't see the one they spotted in Yorktown, but did see a couple of Coyotes. In the process of the search through the battlefields, I ended up doing a 10' wide water crossing of a creek (that flowed across the "road"). Upon splashing through the water, it occurred to me that the Tenere would be jealous. Apparently that planted a seed in my brain because last night I dreamed that I sold the Tenere for nowhere near what it was worth. I immediately regretted it in the dream.

I keep telling myself that it's the perfect bike, but that it isn't much of a passionate ride for a 36 year old sport rider. Maybe I like the Tenere more than on just an intellectual level ::001::.

You should feel like dung, you despicable pimp. Selling the Ten for less than it's worth - that's unconscionable!

And using another bike while "adventuring" across a river?! You may need to rethink your entire outlook on life and come to terms with your level of decision making!

Guilt cannot be deep enough for you, I say! Heresy! Cheater! Home wrecker!

To make amends, you NEED to repeat that ride on the Tenere ASAP! Else there shall be no end to the dreams wherein you suffer the indignity of riding a 50cc moped RTW with a speed limiter installed!

...but given how dreams work, what this whole thing probably means is that your unhappy with your junk in some way... ;)

The SV was my first ADV bike, which I felt guilty about abusing... :D

...which started me on the journey to big pigs.

We'll see tonight. I didn't get to ride today but the SV gets the commute nod for tomorrow. I feel like I got rid of the hottie (cbr-rr) to settle down with a practical but big boned girl who agreed to let me keep my 1st love around. Or...maybe they really are machines? At least I'm committed to my one awesome beautiful wife.
