So, I should be joining the family by the end of today. I get my loan check today, dealer ship by late evening. I will be picking up a new 2013 S10.

My experience has been sport bikes. ex250 > zzr600 > aprilia tuono > daytona 675R. On occasion I steal my wife's ninja 300. I have also picked up my dads cruiser (which I hate) and still own the tuono. I love the daytona but living with no twisty roads, I cant stand riding that bike. so I am trading it in.

At this point, I have no clue how to use the s10 as it was intended, but im going to try and make some trips to join some of the light off roading when I get comfortable with the bike in general.

Welcome!
Not sure what the S10 was intended for, some take it off road, some stay on paved roads only (me) some do both, it's good for whatever you want it to do, within reason.
I just like the ergo of this style of bike, or should say, my body will only allow me to ride this style of bike, oh, and feet forward cruisers. Enjoy your weekend, as I know you'll be out most of it. ::018::

Contrats!

I happen to buy my 07 Tuono from a guy that went with a 675R as well. S10 and Tuono makes a great combo!

Congrats! I too like the Ergo's of the bike. I Ride a Goldwing and sold ny 2011 Bandit 1250FA for a 2014ES, which is much more comfortable!

Enjoy the new bike!

Currently the Tuono does not run. Its been setting in my garage for close to a month with the wiring harness laying on the floor.

Welcome! I too am a NC resident. Sorry about no mountains where you are. I'm in Morganton, NC which is located between Asheville and Hickory in the foothills. So I have quick access to a BIG BUNCH of Mtns and LOTS of curves. Bring you Super Tenere up ill show you just how much fun they are! It's about 230 miles to where I live. We also have a lot if forest roads, gravel, that run along and up the side of the Mtn to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Come on up!

Congrats on the new ride! You'll find the S10 a great all rounder. Mine is mostly two lane touring with a fire road when I wish. Wouldn't be afraid to head cross continent today if I only had the time. Very comfortable bike. Enjoy it!!
